Loire Valley is the beautiful region of Western France where the Loire River runs through one of France’s richest regions.
Known as the Garden of France, the Loire Valley contains many important sites and historical châteaux, royal hunting grounds for the Kings of France.
Producing original and notable wines, the region was divided into smaller appellations such as Anjou, Bourgueil, Saumur, and Touraine, to name a few. Loire Valley wines are known for their excellent value and moderate alcohol.
This important region has also been touched by many historical figures of the past, from Joan of Arc to Richard the Lion heart and Leonardo Da Vinci.
In 2000, the Val de Loire was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in recognition for the exceptional cultural landscape and the quality of its architectural heritage.
Here is a suggested sample itinerary, we’ve done it for our client. The itinerary is modified per each client’s requirements.

With its location by the River Loire, near the heart of the old town of Amboise and a stone’s throw from the Château Royal, Le Choiseul is ideally situated for walking tours.

Day 3 Montrésor, Loches and Chartreuse du Liget
Full day private tour with an English speaking driver guide. Visit and access to Château de Montrésor, Loches city tour and Chartreuse du Liget. Entrance fees included.
Day 4: Food market tour (on Wednesdays) and guided visit of city of Tours
Morning private transfer to Tours city. Half day private gourmet tour of Tours city, starting with a 1h 30 guided tour in the famous Hall (food market), tasting products and meeting with locals, continue with a 1h guided tour of the city and ending by a gourmet picnic.
Afternoon : Free time in Tours city.
Late afternoon, private transfer back to Amboise.
Day 5, Clos Lucé, Chaumont sur Loire & Cheese producer
Full day private tour with an english speaking driver guide. Visit and acess to Clos Lucé, Chaumont Sur Loire Gardens and a visit and cheese tasting in a local cheese factory. Entrance fees and cheese tasting included.
Day 6, Chinon, boat cruise, Fontevraud abbey, soap producer
Full day private tour with an English speaking driver guide including:
– a visit of Chinon quaint city
– a wine tasting boat cruise on the Loire river, with a winemaker on board (on a traditional boat of the Loire), including a light picnic. The cruise offers fantastic view over Montsoreau castle and the quaint villages along the river.
– a visit to Fontevraud Abbey
– a visit to a small local soap factory in the beautiful village of Candes Saint Martin

Day 7, Azay le Rideau Castle, wine estate visit and picnic lunch, Ussé Castle
