Each week, Arctic Sauna World is privately reserved for Arcora guests for one dedicated evening. The experience begins at Arcora, where guests are welcomed by their host before a short transfer to Arctic Sauna World.

At Arcora, Christmas is not only a season, but a feeling. The journey begins with a friendly elf guiding small group of families through the snowy forest toward Santa’s private cabin, hidden quietly within the winter landscape.

Inside, time slows down. Guests meet Santa privately in a calm and intimate setting, sharing wishes and stories beside the fire while lantern light flickers softly around the room. Every child receives a small gift prepared especially for the occasion.

Around the experience, time is left for gentle winter activities outdoors. Guests may explore the snowy surroundings on cross-country skis or snowshoes, enjoy playful moments in the snow, or allow younger guests to drive mini snowmobiles.

The route offers a deeper sense of distance and freedom, with fewer traces of surrounding activity and wider views across the northern landscape. The pace remains controlled and unhurried, with time to stop along the route for photographs, stories, and moments of stillness within the open fell scenery.

A warm lunch is served during the journey before returning to Arcora later in the day.

WILDERNESS ICE FISHING EXPERIENCE 2 hours

A traditional Arctic winter experience shaped by silence, open landscapes, and the slow rhythm of life on the frozen lake. The journey begins at Arcora, where guests meet their guide before departing by snowmobile sleigh into the surrounding wilderness.

Crossing snow-covered forests and frozen terrain, the experience leads to a remote fishing location where guests can try traditional Finnish ice fishing in the stillness of Arctic nature. While fishing on the lake, the guide prepares an open fire and serves warm drinks alongside small sweet treats in the winter surroundings.

More than the catch itself, the experience is about presence, crisp winter air, the sound of ice beneath the snow, and the quiet atmosphere that defines the North.

Designed for guests who enjoy slower moments, Arctic traditions, and time spent in nature away from distraction.

NATIONAL PARK SNOWSHOEING 2.5 hours

A slower journey into the silence and scale of protected Arctic wilderness. The experience takes guests to Pallas–Yllästunturi National Park, where open fells, snow-covered forests, and untouched winter landscapes create one of the purest natural environments in Finland.

After a short scenic car transfer from Arcora, guests continue on snowshoes through terrain unreachable by ordinary winter routes. The pace remains calm and unhurried, allowing space to notice the sounds, textures, and stillness of the surrounding landscape.

Along the route, the guide shares stories of the local nature, seasonal changes, and the relationship between the people of Lapland and the land itself.

The experience concludes back at Arcora with lunch and time to slow down further.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

SNOWMOBILE TOURS

Rates include the necessary equipment and insurance for the snowmobile.

The driver of the snowmobile must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driving licence. For children & youth under 18 years, we recommend only 2–4 hour snowmobile tours. Children up to the age of 14 are seated in a sled pulled by the guide’s snowmobile. At the age of 15 they can be seated behind one of their parents or sit in a sled behind guide’s snowmobile. Maximum self-liability is 1 200 € / driver / snowmobile / accident case.

HUSKY TOURS

All husky tour rates include the necessary outdoor equipment. Children over 12 years can usually drive a husky team themselves depending on the size of the child. Children between 4– 11 years of age sit in the guide’s sled during tours. We reserve the right to decide the arrangements for children.

We recommend only short husky tours for small children. We hold the right to make changes in timetables and programs due to weather, safety or other unforeseen reasons.

4 nights minimum stay is required at Arcora Hotel, all-inclusive.
